Festival Ear Pro — Rail Riderz™ Hi-Fi Earplugs
NRR stands for Noise Reduction Rating, the standard measurement for how much an earplug lowers sound exposure. Rail Riderz™ carries an NRR of 19dB, tuned for live music and festival environments rather than industrial noise. The volume comes down to a safer level while the full range of the mix, from sub bass to vocals, stays intact.
Yes. Rail Riderz™ uses clear silicone flanges built for hi-fi listening, not generic foam. Foam plugs muffle everything unevenly and kill the highs. Rail Riderz™ lowers the overall volume while keeping the full frequency range balanced, so the mix still sounds like the mix, just at a safer level.
Roll the flange gently between your fingers, pull your ear up and back to straighten the ear canal, and insert until it feels snug and sealed. Start with the standard plug; if it feels loose or sound seems unusually loud, swap in the small plug for a tighter seal. A correct seal is what protects your hearing.
Wipe the silicone with a soft cloth or rinse with mild soap and water, then let them air dry completely before storing in the case. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners, which can break down the silicone over time.
With normal use and care, Rail Riderz™ are built to last several years. Remove the plugs, rinse and dry them after each event, and check the flanges periodically. Replace them if you notice cracking, stiffening, or a change in fit.
Rail Riderz™ are designed and sized for teen and adult ears and aren’t intended for young children. If you’re looking for hearing protection for a younger child, we’d point you toward products designed specifically for smaller ears, and recommend checking with a pediatrician or audiologist.
One pair of Rail Riderz™ hi-fi silicone earplugs (standard and small sizes included), a laser-engraved black aluminum case, a black aluminum carabiner that clips anywhere, 15mm black keyring, product packaging, and a trifold instruction manual.
We’d recommend against it. Like any product that sits inside the ear, sharing raises hygiene concerns, so each person in your crew should have their own pair (and honestly, once they see the case, they’ll want their own design anyway).
Yes. Rail Riderz™ flanges are made from hypoallergenic silicone, safe for sensitive skin and extended wear.
Rail Riderz™ is tuned specifically for live music and festival volume levels, so it performs best in that setting. It can work for other loud environments too, though if you need protection tuned for constant industrial or wind noise specifically, a purpose-built option for that use may perform better.
The silicone flange is designed to seat snugly in the ear canal and hold through movement. When they’re not in, the case clips to a belt loop, bag, or harness with the aluminum carabiner, so there’s no fumbling to find them mid-set.
Yes. Rail Riderz™ lowers volume rather than blocking sound entirely, so voices and conversation still come through clearly at close range, just without the ear-splitting peak volume of the front rail.
Every pair ships with two silicone plug sizes, standard and small, so you can dial in the fit that seals best for your ear. Swap the plug from standard to small (or back) any time, no tools needed.
Foam compresses and expands to block sound unevenly, which is why music through foam sounds dull and muffled. Rail Riderz™ uses acoustic filters engineered to lower volume evenly across every frequency, so you lose decibels, not detail.
